Reggaeton Profiles: Julio Voltio

Born in Puerto Rico the man came to step up three ago when Tego
Calderon caught in to his Flow at an Orlando concert. Since that chance
meeting Voltio has been running at an electrifying rate. Part of the legendary
White Lion Label, Voltio got his chops collaborating with Tego, Zion and
Lenox. Voltio caught the Salsa world by surprise with one of the best
cross over salsa-reggaeton collaborations of the year in Jerry Rivera's
Mi Libertad -2003 the update of the Frankie Ruiz classic heard everywhere.
Barrio 305 could not walk out into the street without this bad boy being
heard . Finally, in 2004 Voltio released his long awaited debut Voltage
AC -Sony International- without any major airplay just "de boca en
boca" the record has become one of the undisputed highlights of 2004.
One cut , the perreo style "Bomper" charged up the house down
at El ReggaetonZol festival in Downtown Miami. Leaving everyone wanting
more. Barrio 305 expects a lot more from Voltio!
