Records / L.O.T.O.) Voltio commanded the audience’s attention
when the Latin Hip-Hop star appeared on stage at Miami Beach’s
Jackie Gleason Theater on Monday, December 5th. Fox Sports will air
in the United States on Fox Sports en Español and throughout
the Spanish-speaking Americas on Fox Sports Latin America. Performing
a medley of his hits, “Bumper,” and “Chulin,”
Voltio captivated the audience. To the delight of all in attendance,
his nimble flow, often compared to the legendary emcee Nas, left the
audience with a lasting thought – There’s a new talented
kid on the block. Starting Friday, December 2, the weekend was an action-packed
event. From a celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit “The Ganley
Foundation” to private parties, multiple receptions and the main
event, The Fox Latin Sports Awards, Voltio spent the entire weekend
with his fans. Voltio has been busy putting the final touches on his
new self-titled studio album. Voltio will be in-stores on December 27,
2005. The 28-year-old Latin Urban artist, Julio Voltio, who has already
sold 200,000 albums to date under the independent record company, White
Lion, recently found a home at Sony BMG. Voltage AC, released under
White Lion in December of last year, debuted in the Top 5 on the Latin
Soundscan chart and remained in the Top 20 for the first two months.
Voltio’s approachable nature and artistic versatility have turned
him into one of the genre’s frontrunners. “It’s amazing
to me that 50,000 copies were sold in Japan,” he says. “I’ve
traveled to Spain, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Venezuela, and all
these countries.” In response to the overwhelming demand and rapid
success of this independent release, Voltio has joined forces with White
Lion/Sony Norte’/Sony Urban/Epic Records to release his major
label, self-titled, debut, Voltio this December. The new album will
include a few fan-favorite songs from his highly successful independent
release, Voltage A/C and a slew of new tracks including “Chulin,”
and the “Chulin Remix” featuring Three 6 Mafia. Sexy songs
like “El Bonbón” and “Dame de Eso” (Gimme
That) promise to spice up dance floors across the nation while the contemplative
“Por Un Dedo” (By A Finger) explores the notion of all the
catastrophes that could transpire because of one misstep.

por su poderosa lirica y energía interpretativa, termino recientemente
de grabar el video de “Chulin, Culin, Chunfly” (a dueto
con el artista revelación CALLE 13), que es el primer sencillo
de su nueva producción denominada simplemente “VOLTIO”,
a lanzarse el 27 de diciembre. Voltio esta haciendo una pausa en su
extensa gira de shows para iniciar las actividades promociónales
de su nueva producción. Es en este contexto que llego a Miami
invitado por los “Premios Fox Sports (3ra Edición)”,
los cuales se llevaron cabo 5 de diciembre del 2005, en el Teatro Jackie
Gleason de Miami Beach. VOLTIO hizo despliegue de su imponente personalidad
al caminar por la “Alfombra Roja” e ir concediendo entrevistas
a todos los medios presentes que lo aclamaron. Fue una noche llena de
emociones, sobre todo cuando VOLTIO salio con toda la fuerza y dispuesto
a dejar la camiseta en el escenario; poniendo al publico de pie bailando
y coreando su súper éxito “BUMPER” y su nuevo
sencillo “Chulin, Culin, Chunfly”. Como parte de esta celebración,
“Fox Sports” agendo una serie de eventos durante el fin
de semana. La mayoría de los invitados llegaron el Viernes, 2
de diciembre. El Sábado, se llevo a cabo un torneo de Golf en
el “Miami Beach Golf Club” a beneficio de “The Ganley
Foundation”, seguido de una recepción. El Domingo, hicieron
una fiesta previa a la premiación en el Restaurante Macarena.
El Lunes, el gran día de la premiación y luego, botaron
la casa por la ventana, al celebrar un ostentoso “Alter Party”
de la premiación para todos los invitados, artistas, medios,
etc.; en el salón “Americana Ballroom” del Hotel
Lowes de Miami Beach tuvo una gran concurrencia. Esta premiación
conto con la presencia de destacados artistas y figuras como lo son
: Víctor Manuelle,Olga Tañon, N’Klave, Reik, entre
muchos mas… Fue una noche maravillosa, donde VOLTIO una vez mas,
