Trebol Clan “Los Bacatranes”
The self stylized “Ghetto Dandies” are
up to a solid start with their debut CD “Los Bacatranes”.
Produced by the legendary team of Hector & Tito, Trebol Clan creates
a record layered in heavy Latin dance groves that throb with a steady
dose of pulsating Hip Hop rhythms.
Berto and Hector share vocals while DJ Joe takes care
of the beats. A mix between “perreo” (dancing) and tiraera
(MC battle), Trebol Clan are at their best when confronting rivals like
Wisin Y Yandel or collaborating with Tito on the highlight “No
Le Temas a El”
Mix tape favorite “Agarrala” features
Don Omar and Nelly. The noise of summer, the song has been making the
rounds with Brooklyn and Miami reggaeton heads. A future classic, “Agarrala”
adopts an edgy beat that recalls a cross between dancehall and early
NYC Hip Hop. The catchiest reggaeton song since Daddy Yankee’s
Gazolina, “Agarrala” is an essential track for anyone with
the slightest interest in dembow beats.
At the opposite end, “Mi Gorda Bella”
uses a traditional Bachata sample to great effect. The song is a good
example of the new hybrid known as Reggaeton/Bachata.
Well produced and with a great cast of collaborators
“ Los Bacatranes” is a thrilling start for Berto, Hector
and DJ Joe.
