Over the last 15 years Eddie’s main claim to fame has been his unsurpassable ability to come up with better rhymes than most. Dee has established a formidable line up for his latest release “Los Doce Dicipulos” which features twelve of the biggest names in the Puerto Rican world of reggaeton.

The album starts with a traditional "bomba" medley “Quitate tu Pa Ponerme Yo” is the only track were all the artist participate. It’s also one of the best in the album. The song takes shape as all the MC’s take their turn to shine at the mike in what it may well turn out to be one of the best collaborations to make something new out of the old by blending the bomba with the reggaeton. Julio Voltio offers the track “Atrevida Bandolrera” which is among best thing he’s recorded, built around a fast paced rhyme with a hilarious chorus to boost, the track has to be heard to be believed. The next memorable moment is Wiso’s “Medley 2004”, which features an old school beat that’s a throwback to the days of Run DMC with some very peculiar lyrics about a lazy day spent at the beach. Which brings us to the main attraction, Eddie Dee whose songs run the gamut from an all out sexy, to serious social commentary. With tracks such as the dance beat oriented “Wao!” or the streetwise “Censurame” Eddie Dee shows that his still on top of his game.

Overall, “12 Dicipulos” plays like a long lost but not forgotten greatest hits. With tracks that seem old and fresh there is very little to fault in this treasure trove of talent and style.

Best Tracks:
