Along with the superb "Mas Flow 2" comes the long awaited release
of "Los Anormales". Hector El Bambino, collects a crew of the
very best in the current reggaeton scene, making an unforgettable dance
behemoth that begs for repeated listening. The first notable item is the
relentless beat that keeps things fast and moving. Sticking to a high
BPM count, this is the year's best mix. All the tracks play at the right
speed with a seamless mix, capturing the elusive magic of the mix tape
experience.
The party atmosphere remains all throughuout. Los Anormales is music made
for dancing. Standing out among in a record full of hits are the tracks
made and sung by El Bambino. "Noche De Terror" stars the festivities
with a banging, sexy chorus that betrays the menace of its lyrics. It
is a hard act to follow, but Don Omar is up to the task with the fantastic
"Salvaje", a track with a stunning conga/dembow rhythm, that's
among the best in the Don's repertoire. As if that were not enough, Daddy
Yankee's "El Machete" ups the tempo to its very limits and creates
a high energy level that continues thru the rest of the record.
This is an impeccable DJ set and remains the one to beat. For those aiming
to recapture the full reggaeton experience to see how
its done, this is the place to look.
